Resolution of Condolence.
The following resolution was passed by the common council of the city at its session the 23 day of November, 1877:

Be it resolved, By the common council of the city of Valparaiso, that we deeply deplore the death of Councilman Edward Cook, of the First Ward.

We feel that in his death the city of Valparaiso has lost an able and conscientious adviser and a good citizen.

We tender to the family of the deceased our warmest sympathies.

Ordered that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the records of the city, and that a copy be sent to the family of deceased and published in both city papers.

Witness my hand and seal of the city of Valparaiso this 24th day of November, 1877.

JOHN SKINNER, Mayor,
