LOCAL.
Tom Collins, freight conductor on the P., F. W. & C. Railway, died last Wednesday at Chicago, and was brought to Mr. Lindsey's, his boarding place in the west part of this city, where his funeral took place at 10 o'clock this forenoon. Rumor says his illness seemed to be produced by free use of cider which was possibly affected by drugs to make it keep sweet.
