Mrs. John Clayton

The remains of Mrs. John Clayton were brought to Chesterton from Chicago Tuesday for interment. She died of rheumatism of the heart, aged 32 years. The remains were accompanied to their last resting place by several hundred relatives and friends, who came on a Lake Shore special train. For years Mrs. Clayton was a rheumatic sufferer but it was only a short time before her death tha the disease affected the region of the heart. She leaves a husband and four children. The Clayton family have a lot in St. Patrick's cemetery, and have been burying their dead here since the early sixties. Three members have been buried there within the last six months.
