Emil Challman

In Memory of Emil Challman.
BY MRS. L. LINDAHL.

Gone to sleep but not for ever,
Beneath this cold and moistened clay.
Gone from us to dwell in slumber,
Till the resurrection day.

Dearly did we love thee Emil,
Both son and brother who was so dear,
Now has left this world of sorrow,
Gone and left us mourning here.

No one knoew how much we miss him,
In this cold and cheerless world.
His spirit found the way to heaven,
To the gates with victory pearled.

So farewell, farewell forever,
'Till he calls thee to the bar,
Soon we will come dear brother emil,
So Watchman! leave the gates ajar.
