Allen Carlson
TALK OF THE TOWN
Word has been received here that Rev. Allen Carlson died at the home of his son-in-law Rev. C. Adwald last Tuesday, aged 71 years. Rev. Bennett went to attend the funeral which was held in Chicago on Wednesday of this week. Rev. Carlson was one of the oldest Swedish Lutheran ministers in this country, having come here in 1851. He was the founder of the Bailytown, Laporte, Hobart and other churches around Chicago. His funeral was a monster one.
