FUNERAL STOPPED TO FIGHT FIRE IN CHURCH
As the funeral of Charles Campbell was being held yesterday at the Brushwood United Brethren church at Aix, Jasper county, fire was discovered in the church roof. The service was at once suspended, a volunteer company was organized, water was carried from the church and schoolhouse pumps, the fire was extinguished without serious loss, and then the funeral service was resumed.
