John Brown

LOCAL.
The man who killed himself in Michigan City Prison, and was buried, resurrected by some person for the doctors, and afterward re-buried, was a Swede by name of John Brown. His coffin was stove in by the resurrectionists, and a rope attached to his neck, by which he was dragged over the frozen ground three fourths of a mile, to the prison slaughter house, where it was found. The perpetrators of this outrage are said to be known.
