In Memoriam.
Of little Jennie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown, who died March 27, 1889, aged 5 years.
Dearest Jennie you have left us,
Left this land of sorrow and pain,
Left those who you know have loved you,
Left those who cry for you in vain,
Yet though your pure soul is departed
God has called it to his breast.
Oh, how sad home is without you,
But the Lord saw fit to take
One sweet little treasure from us,
Although it seems our heart would break.
But 'tis God who has bereft us,
He can all our sorrow heal.
