A. J. Brooker

A. J. BROOKER DEAD.
Ex-Superintendent of the Porter Plant pf Hydraulic Press Brick Co.
TOLDEO, Ohio, Aug. 18, 1899.
Editor Tribune.

Papa died this afternoon at 1:20 after many months' sickness and suffering, and although it will be so hard to do without him, still we feel that it is a blessing that he is rid of all his sufferings and has gone to those whom he loves so dearly and have been waiting for him. The end came peacefully, and he died so beautifully and without a struggle, and we are so glad that the best part of his life, the time when he was in his best health, was spent in Indiana. Accept our kindest regards.
GRACE BROOKER,
521 Euclid ave., Toledo, O.

The sad news contained in the above will be read with sincere regret by many people here. For several years Mr. Brooker had charge of the Porter plant of the Chicago Hydraulic Pressed Brick Company, and it was Major Kimbell's boast that in him and Mr. Soper he had the finest pair of brick men in the United States. Mr. Brooker resigned his position here about two years ago, to go into the brick business with his brother in Ohio. Hardly had they started before sickness overtook him, and for the last eighteen months Mr. Brooker was practically an invalid. The Tribune extends its profound sympathy to the family of the deceased.
