Lura E. Brody

DEATHS.
DIED. -- Lura E., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Brody, of Valpariso, Ind., died of membranous croup, at the age of 4 years, 8 months and 14 days, at the residence of Mr. J. Wise, McCool.

Gone, but not forgotten,
Is our darling Lura dear;
From all earthly care and sorrow,
She is now forever free.

We will never hear the prattle,
Feel those rosy lips no more,
Never hear the pit, pit, patter,
That was welcomed o'er and o'er.

Toys and pets our darling cherished,
Shall now all be laid away
For she's gone to meet her brother,
Where it is eternal day.

O, how sadly we will miss her!
But how comforting to think,
That there is another angel
Hovering round the throne of God.

Dear papa, and dear mamma,
Dry your tears and weep no more,
For you darling little Lura
Has gone through the pearly door.
