Emiline Brodie

COUNTY SEAT NEWS.
A telegram was received here Sunday morning announcing the death of Mrs. John Brodie, of this city, Saturday night at Seattle, Washington, aged 51 years. Mrs. Brodie, accompanied by her daughter, Anna, left here last December for the pacific coast, hoping the trip would be beneficial to her daughter's health. A letter was received from her on Friday that they were making preparations to go by boat on Saturday to San Francisco. She was taken with pneumonia which terminated very suddenly. The sad news was a shock to her numerous friends and acquaintance in this city, who were loth to believe the first report. Mrs. Brodie was a daughter of the late Uncle Dick Jones and was one of the first white female children born in this county. The remains will arrive her Friday or Saturday for burial.
