Elmer E. Blanchard

FROM OUR NEIGHBORS.
HEBRON, Ind. -- Elmer E. Blanchard died at the home of his parents, June 27, 1891, aged 33 years, of typhoid fever. He had been sick for nearly a month but not bedfast all the time. He had been employed as baggageman on the Pan Handle for a number of years, and resided at Logansport. He belonged to the Brotherhood of Trainmen, and 40 of the members of his lodge attended the funeral in a body. He buried his wife last November, and his child in February, so that in less than a year his entire family are gone "to than land from which no traveler returns." He was well thought of among the trainmen, and all whom he came in contact with loved him as a friend. The funeral service were held at the M. E. church June 28, at 4 p. m., and the body was interred in the cemetery south of town.
