William Blackstone
OBITUARY.
[Special dispatch to the Cincinnatti Gazette.]
Dr. William Blackstone aged 83 years, for many years a prominent physician, but of late not practicing his profession, having retired on a competency, died this morning at 6 o'clock. His death was very sudden and very unexpected. He was taken in the night with a pain in his stomach, which by early morning subsided so far as to allow him to drop into an apparently natural sleep, but from which he never wakened. His sudden taking off is a severe blow to his many friends, and will be a great loss to our city. He was a man of many virtues, the friend of everybody, and a good citizen in all that the term implies.
The subject of the above obituary was the father of Dr. Blackstone at Hebron.
