Mrs. Frank Bergstrom
DEATHS
A very active and pious member of the Swedish Lutheran church, Mrs. Frank Bergstrom, passed unexpectedly to the Home Above Saturday afternoon, July 23, while on a visit to her friend, Mrs. Nyquist.
The shock was a severe one not only to the remaining three members of the family, her children, but also to her many friends as well. The late Mrs. Bergstrom was born in Rydaholm, Jonkopongs lan Sweden, and came to American in 1869. In 1875 her husband died and left her with three children in very straightened circumstances. But with a determination that will conquer almost everything she provided for herself and children until about year later, when she was united in marriage with Mr. F. Bergstrom, he himself being a widower. He also had three children, who one after another passed away. Finally Mr. Bergstrom himself passed away last spring. This was too much for her. Weighed down, not by years, but by sorrows and tribulations not withstanding the best of care and medical attendance. For recreation she one day, and that was her last, undertook to make a visit to Mrs. Nyquist, who lives just out of town. She succeeded in getting there all right but shortly after took sick and expired at 4 o'clock p. m., from over-exertion before any medical aid could be rendered. The beloved mother thus left before her family knew anything about it. She will be sadly mourned and missed by the bereaved children, relatives, and a large circle of friends. The church has also lost a very active member.
The funeral exercises took place at the Swedish Lutheran church on the following Tuesday afternoon.
