Philander Barnes
BURDICK, Ind. -- Philander Barnes died of consumption last Friday. The funeral was held at the home of his sister Mrs. Wm. Cain last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. Hayes of Westville, and the remains were interred in what is known as the eight square cemetery. He has been sick for a long time but has suffered little, just wasted slowly away.
