Beverly Shores GI Viet Victim

BEVERLY SHORES, Ind. (AP) -- Army Pfc. Edison A. Harkins, III, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edison A. Harkins II of Beverly Shores, died last week of wounds suffered during a combat mission in Vietnam, relatives were notified.

The 1967 graduate of Elston High School at Michigan City has been in Vietnam three months. Harkins was the 1,180th Hoosier to die in Southeast Asia fighting since 1961.
