Notified of Son's Death In Vietnam

Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Blasko, 1607 Elm, were notified Thursday of the death Sunday in Vietnam of this son, Sp-4 James Dee Blasko.

Young Blasko was serving in Vietnam with the U. S. Army Infantry. He had been in the service since March 1968.

Surviving besides the parents are three sisters. Nancy, Joann and Linda, all at home, and three brothers, William, Chesterton, Ronald and Ricky, both at home.

Arrangements are incomplete pending arrival of body.

Vietnam Victim's Rites Set

Services for Sp-4 James Dee Blasko, 20, 1607 Elm, who died May 4 in Vietnam, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wetmore Funeral home.

The Rev. L. E. Myers, church of the Nazerene, will officiate.

Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by a contingent from Fort Benjamin Harrison.

Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and until time of services Wednesday.

Born in Mishawaka Nov. 8, 1948, he was a son of Frank W. and Ann (Jerichow) Blasko. They were notified of his death Thusday.

A resident of Valparaiso for one year, coming from Portage, where the family resided for nine years, he was a 1967 graduate of Portage High school. Following graduation, he was employed at a retail store in Gary.

He had been in military service since March 15, 1968 and in Vietnam since November of 1968.

Surviving besides the parents are three sisters, Nancy, Joann and Linda, all at home; three brothers, William of Chesterton, and twins Ronald and Ricky, both at home.
