Descendant of Andrew Beatty (Beattie).
Daughter of George Moon and Julia Geraldine Van Pelt, his wife, m. 1862.
Granddaughter of Isaac Van Pelt and Mary Jane Beatty, his wife, m. 1841.
Gr-granddaughter of Andrew Beatty and Judith Carter, his wife, m. 1794.
Andrew Beatty, in 1780, served as a private in Capt. Mathew McCoy's company, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania militia. He was a freeman and paid taxes, 1779; died 1723, in Highland County, Ohio.
