John H. Maulsby and Sarah J. Reynolds, daughter of Elijah and Deborah Reynolds, were married in Porter county, Indiana, September 3, 1848. They lived on a farm in Porter county, John H. being a farmer. They sold out, and in company with Lemuel Maulsby (51) and family and Elijah Reynolds and family moved to Iowa in 1854. John H. bought land five miles north and a little west of Irish Town. This was the family home until a few years ago, when increasing years made it necessary for John H. and wife Sarah to have an easier life. The family now lives in Linden, Iowa.
