DAVID S. FELSENTHAL-The White Front Garage organization has attained wide notice throughout this region as one of the most progressive concerns in the automotive field. One of the directing heads of the concern, David S. Felsenthal, was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1876, the son of Samuel and Emma Felsenthal; he was the eldest of five children born to his parents. Mr. Felsenthal received his education in public schools of Chicago, and was engaged in the field of automobile tires and accessories in Chicago before coming to Valparaiso in September, 1925.

He subsequently organized the White Front Garage Company, which is a corporation with a capital stock of $30,000; the officers of this company are: David S. Felsenthal, president and manager; E. B. Felsenthal, secretary and treasurer. It was first opened on September 1, 1913, as a partnership, and in 1921 was incorporated. They serve as sole distributors of the Hudson and Essex cars in Valparaiso and surrounding territory, and also carry a complete line of accessories and are exclusive agents for nationally known makes of tires. Another feature of the business is the operation of a complete radio department. The floor space embraces 22,000 square feet, allowing ample room for storage and service.

Mr. D. S. Felsenthal was united in marriage with Ethel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bumwasser of Chicago, in February, 1920. To this marriage was born a son, David S., on July 5, 1924.
