Camping Trip at Sager's Lake
Valparaiso, Indiana

Date: July 1918
Source Type: Postcard
Publisher, Printer, Photographer: AZO
Postmark: None
Collection: Steven R. Shook
Remark: The angled, open-frame wooden structure that is visible in the foreground was a recreation chute located on the south side of Sager's Lake. People would get into a boat at the top of the chute and then the boat would slide down the chute at a high rate of speed into the lake. The ride was commonly referred to as the "Chute-the-Chute."
