Remark: In this image, the structure partly covered by the eagle statue's wing housed the State Bank of Valparaiso; the law offices of Crumpacker & Sons was located in the second story of this building. The adjacent building with the tower topped by a weathervane is Valparaiso City Hall, which was erected in 1878 during the administration of Mayor John N. Skinner. Both of these buildings were located in Indiana Avenue and faced the south side of the Porter County Court House.
