Men's Aid Parade, Friday-Night Club.
Chesterton, Indiana

Date: Circa 1910
Source Type: Postcard
Publisher, Printer, Photographer: Unknown
Postmark: None
Collection: Steven R. Shook
Remark: Marked in ink on reverse of postcard is "Men's Aid Parade. April 1st. April fools Day." The wagon is hauling members of the Friday Night Club of Chesterton. The Friday Night Club was an association that raised funds to support the local library. Ironically, the Thomas Branch of the Westchester Public Library is now located where the school is seen in this postcard image. To the right of the school is the west side of the Methodist Episcopal Church and St. Patrick's Catholic Church is visible behind the school. Present day Indiana Avenue is the street.
