Remark: This photograph was taken looking west to slightly northwest along present day Porter Avenue, with the Chesterton Cemetery being land seen to the left of the road. The Blackwell Mill, which was located at the northeast corner of present day Calumet Avenue and Porter Avenue, can be seen in the distance in the middle of the photograph. Wilson Avenue would be located immediately to the right of the photographer of this image.
